A goodbye reception organized by members of the Islamic Sports Club in Jaffa in 1935. This was to be the last reception in honour of Eltaher in Palestine before he was prohibited from returning to his homeland by the British Government of Palestine. For these authorities Eltaher was a "foreigner". However, the thousands of Jewish settlers brought by the British from Russia, Poland and Eastern Europe were considered to be the "children of Palestine" Eltaher died in 1974 without ever seeing his homeland again.
