It is worthwhile to mention that Mohamed Ali Eltaher had put a condition before accepting the invitation from the Iraqi parliament. He insisted that no invitation should be addressed to the Prime Minister of Iraq, Nouri Pasha Al-Said to attend any ceremony held in his honour by the parliament. Eltaher loathed Nouri Al-Said because of his infeodation to British imperialism against the Iraqi and Arab national movements. The President of the Iraqi parliament accepted the condition put by Eltaher, and thus the Prime Minister of the country was not invited to a ceremony held by its parliament!
