1963 - Letter from Jordanian Royal Court 1 edited Reply dated May 23, 1963 from Bahjat Pasha Al-Talhouni, Chief of the Jordanian Royal Cabinet confirming King Hussein’s approval to Eltaher's suggestion that Ahmad Hilmi Pasha, Prime Minister of the All-Palestine Government be buried within the campus of the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem after his death.

Eltaher had written to the King suggesting that Hilmi Pasha be honoured in this fashion due to his rank as Prime Minister, and as one of the defenders of the city during the 1948 Palestine war.

The same honour could have been extended to Colonel Abdallah Al-Tal, the commander of the Arab Legion who was instrumental in defending Jerusalem during that war. By the time Colonel Abdallah Al-Tal had passed away, Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa mosque had been taken over by Israel following the 1967 Six-day war. But the Israelis allowed that the Palestinian leader Faysal Husseini be buried alongside his father, the famous Palestinian commander in 1948 Abdelqader Al-Husseini within the campus of the mosque after his death in 2001.
