Memorabilia from a bygone era: One of the many files established by Eltaher. This file was called "Documentary evidence as to the existence of the Jewish state" written in his own handwriting.
Several decades after the creation of the State of Israel, most Arab governments constantly denied that any such state actually existed. But Eltaher kept a large number of media clippings and documents in that file showing that despite their denials in front of their own people, those governments did in fact recognize the existence of the State of Israel even indirectly in one form or another.
Today this issue has been superceded by other realities, though in those days the question of recognizing Israel's existence raised a major debate.
