"Searchlight on Palestine" is the title given by Ms. Frances E. Newton to her report regarding her observations vis-à-vis the actions of British police in Palestine which led her to wonder if this were "fair-play or terrorist methods?". Ms. Newton, who was fluent in Arabic, had worked with the government and resided in Palestine for over forty years. The booklet containing her report was published by the Arab Centre in London in May 1938.
