Arab and Muslim leaders of all shades as well as others always made it a point to stop by Eltaher to exchange views on various questions and issues of interest, before continuing their trips abroad. Initially they stopped by his office at “Dar Ashoura” in Cairo, when the Egyptian capital was the centre of Arab action. They continued doing so after Eltaher had moved to Beirut in 1957, after the Lebanese capital took that role partially away from Cairo.
