This most interesting document was published by the "Association for Peace" in Tel Aviv. Its purpose was "to dare imagine beyond the conflicts of 1970", i.e. the year the study was published. It assumes that "by the year 2000 the Arab-Israeli conflict would have been resolved", and thus looks at the overall Middle East in the year 2000.
Since it was practically impossible in the seventies to communicate directly between Israel and the Arab countries, which is still the case, though partially only nowadays thanks to the internet and mobile phone sim-cards, the Association for Peace provided a mail box address in Rome to encourage Arabs interested in the project to communicate with them.
It is interesting to note that during the second millennium there are those who express their fears and apprehensions jokingly by saying that the future of the region will witness the birth of a wide country called the Middle East, and its capital will be Israel!”
